Mr Sanda thanked UNICEF for supporting Kano in conducting the analysis to guide the government and partners in protecting children’s rights.

“The relationship between UNICEF and the Kano state government has been very cordial and strong because UNICEF has supported us for long. We are going to give you all the necessary support to succeed,” he said.

Rahama Farah, chief of the UNICEF field office in Kano, said the study found that issues affecting children in the state included a high level of child poverty.
