The curtains wound down on the 2021/2022 Nigerian Professional Football League on Sunday with Kano Pillars and MFM FC relegated.

Rivers United has last weekend won the title with a game to spare in 20-team League. They qualify for the 2022/2023 CAF Champions League alongside second-placed Plateau United.

Third-placed Remo Stars qualify for 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup competition

In a shocking development, four traditionally strong clubsides- Katsina United, Heartland FC, Kano Pillars and MFM FC- are all relegated to the lower league..

Kano Pillars had six points deducted from them for disciplinary issues.

Below is the final standings in the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), following the conclusion of Match Day 38 and final weekend fixtures played on Sunday:
