A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Kano, Muazu Dansarauniya, said the state deserved to be president of the 10th Senate because of its contribution to the political growth of APC.

On Friday, Mr Dansarauniya stated this in Kano, urging the party to zone the position to the North-West geopolitical zone and Kano in particular.

He described Baraatu Jibrin as a seasoned administrator qualified to lead the 10th Senate.

“The people of Kano state and the North-West region are supporting the aspirations of Senator Jibrin because we believe in his capacity and capability to steer the wheel of the Senate towards the path of growth and stability,” stated Mr Dansarauniya.

He added, “The 10th National Assembly needs a leader like Jibrin who has garnered knowledge and experience from within and outside Nigeria, going by his academic records and qualifications.”
