Kwara traditional ruler pledges peace, progress in community

The new Alagunji of Agunjin in Ifelodun LGA in Kwara, Oba Isiaka Adekeye III, has vowed to champion peace, unity, and progress in his community.
He appealed for the cooperation and support of his subjects, stressing that collective effort was essential for attaining meaningful development in Agunjin and Kwara as a whole.
His pledge is contained in a statement issued on Saturday in Ilorin by his spokesperson, Oluwatoyin Adekeye.
The traditional ruler assured that he would complement Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s peacekeeping initiatives, working tirelessly for the welfare and stability of his people.
He further promised to strengthen understanding and harmony among his subjects, noting that their unwavering support remained vital in building the kind of communities they desired.
Mr Adekeye expressed gratitude to the state government and his people for the trust and confidence they have vested in him.
The ruler was presented with his staff of office by the governor on Friday.
“With this homecoming, Agunjin’s royal heritage is renewed, strengthened, and destined to shine for generations to come.
“The Adekeye royal family expressed deep appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq, the Kwara Council of Chiefs’ Chairman, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, and the Igbomina Traditional Rulers Forum, among others, for their support,” he said.
