Lagos: Ikoyi building on fire

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) says emergency responders are currently battling a fire that broke out at an Ikoyi residence.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) says emergency responders are currently battling a fire that broke out at an Ikoyi residence.

This is contained in a statement issued by its director-general Olufemi Oke-Osanyitolu on Wednesday in Lagos.

Mr Oke-Osanyitolu said the fire broke out at Ilabare Road, Ikoyi.

He disclosed that the agency activated its response team to the location and with a combined team of the Lagos State Fire Service.

He added that they were taking immediate action to put out the fire which appeared to be spreading rapidly to adjoining property.
