Veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonago suffers stroke, begs for help

Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor, aged 61, has tearfully reached out to the public for financial support due to his medical condition resulting from a stroke.

In a viral video, he appealed to fans and fellow entertainers to assist him in his time of need.

Muonagor recounted how the stroke suddenly struck him while he was on a movie set with well-known actors like Emeka Ani, Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie, and Ebele Okaro. The illness has left him partially paralysed, rendering him unable to move or walk on his own. This plea for help mirrors a similar request made by another actor, Mr Ibu, following his hospitalisation.

Made Kuti ties knot with fiancée 

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Made Kuti married Indeoiye Onyenso on November 1 in Lagos. The wedding was celebrated with family and friends, featuring a traditional ceremony.

They shared a unique love story that began in secondary school, but they lost touch for seven years until reuniting when Made returned from London in 2018. Their journey started as Facebook friends and eventually led to their wedding.

Matthew Perry dies at 54

Matthew Perry, renowned for his role as Chandler Bing in the sitcom “Friends,” has sadly passed away at the age of 54 on October 28th.

Born in Williamstown, Massachusetts, in 1969, Matthew Perry embarked on his acting career in the early 1990s, with initial roles in minor TV shows. His breakthrough came in 1994 when he secured the role of Chandler Bing on the hit series “Friends,” which propelled him to stardom over ten seasons. Following the show’s conclusion, he continued acting in various projects, including a Broadway play and a candid memoir titled “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” where he shared his battles with addiction and mental health issues.

Tems recounts Uganda ordeal

Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Tems recently discussed her distressing experience in a Ugandan prison in 2020 during an interview with Angie Martinez of Power 105.1 FM. She believed they hadn’t violated  COVID-19 rules, suggesting it was a setup.

While imprisoned, she feared not being released, but she showcased her ability to adapt to challenging situations. The incident occurred after performing at a concert in Uganda, seemingly violating COVID-19 regulations, leading to legal consequences for both Tems and Omah Lay.

Seyi Vibez’s ‘Billion Dollar Baby’ is the longest #1 album of 2023

Nigerian singer  Seyi Vibez’s debut album, “Billion Dollar Baby,” has been dominating the music charts as the longest-running number-one album. With 16 tracks, the album explores the Street-Hop subgenre, serving as a trailblazing example in the current Afrobeats music scene.

This album is a dynamic blend of influences, offering a compelling insight into Seyi’s artistry and personal journey. It delves into complex aspects of human experience, including aspirations for growth and daily indulgences.

Impressively, the album has accumulated over 86 million streams on Apple Music and 32 million on Spotify. It also secured the top spot on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Albums chart, with “Chance” reaching the second position on the Top 100 chart within 24 hours of its release. Additionally, “Billion Dollar Baby” has amassed significant streams on Audiomack and Boomplay, along with 9 million views across its YouTube videos.
