In their first English Premier League game after the international break, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur won their respective opponents on Saturday.

City staged a comeback against West Ham to grab all three points at London Stadium. Equalising in the 46th minute, City cancelled J Ward-Prowse’s 36th-minute goal that gave The Hammers.

Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland fired in City’s second and third goal in the 76th and 86th minute, respectively, helping City maintain a firm stay atop the EPL log.

Similarly, Liverpool impressively came from behind to beat Wolves 3-1 at Molineux Stadium.

Though Wolves took the lead barely seven minutes into the game, Liverpool pulled through with C. Gakpo and A. Robertson, scoring in the 55th and 85th minute, respectively, while H. Bueno gifted the Reds their third goal, netting an own goal in the extra time.

Meanwhile, Spurs narrowly beat Sheffield United in the extra minutes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, coming from behind.

G. Hamer put the visitors ahead in the 73rd minute. But extra-time goals by Richarlison and D. Kulusevski got Spurs all three points.

With Saturday’s results,  City maintained the top spot on the EPL log with a maximum of 15 points in five games, while Spurs are second on the log with 13 points in five games, ahead of Liverpool by goal difference.
