Matawalle appoints 41-man transition committee

The committee is responsible for ensuring a smooth handover to the governor-elect.

Governor Bello Matawalle has appointed a 41-man transition committee to work on a peaceful transition to the incoming administration of Governor-elect Dauda Lawal.

On Thursday, the secretary of the state government, Kabiru Balarabe, stated in Gusau that the committee has former finance minister Bashir Yuguda as chairman.

Lawal Hussein, the permanent secretary of the cabinet affairs in the governor’s office, serves as its secretary, said the statement.

The committee is responsible for ensuring a smooth handover to the governor-elect.
