Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi, has felicitated with the Christian communities within the state and beyond on Easter celebration.

This is contained in a statement signed by his press secretary, Malam Jibrin Gwabna, and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Saturday.

The speaker enjoined Christians to use the period for sober reflection “by exhibiting sacrifice, love, and support for one another, especially to the less privileged in the society as exhibited by Jesus Christ,” he said.

Mr Abdullahi called on Christian faithful to use the period to intensify prayers for the nation and its leadership.

He stressed the need for citizens to have faith in God and the government for the overall development of society.

According to him, with prayers, the challenges facing the country can be overcome and will soon be a thing of the past.

He also called on Nigerians to use the period and pray fervently for the success of the upcoming leaders at all levels.

He enjoined Nigerians, irrespective of their religious and ethnic background, to be patriotic citizens.
