National Convention: PDP extends deadline for submission of forms

The National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended indefinitely the deadline for the submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants.
In a statement on Saturday, Debo Ologunagba, secretary of the publicity subcommittee, said the deadline had been extended from the earlier announced date of Friday, September 26.
Mr Ologunagba said the committee has yet to set a new deadline, adding that once a date is decided, it will be made public.
He added that the committee also approved the shifting of the screening date for aspirants, which was earlier scheduled for Tuesday, September 30.
Mr Ologunagba stated that the extension was necessitated by the need to ensure smooth arrangements for the conduct of the exercise.
He said the new dates would be communicated in due course, urging all aspirants to note the extension and be guided accordingly.
The party’s national elective convention is scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan.
