The National Examinations Council (NECO) registrar, Dantani Wushishi, has been elected into the Executive Council of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA).

This is contained in a statement made available to reporters in Abuja on Sunday by NECO spokesperson Azeez Sani.

Mr Sani said Mr Wushishi was elected as the West Africa representative in the Executive Council at the just concluded 40th conference of the association in Cape Town, South Africa.

He said the NECO helmsman would serve in the eight-member executive council with members drawn from other examination bodies across Africa.

Mr Sani said the conference, which started on August 19, concluded on August 23.

He said that over 21 active primary members and other public and private institutions and organisations from across the world were in attendance.
