Instant messaging app WhatsApp will now allow users to log in as many as four smartphones with the same account.

The new update follows several requests from users of WhatsApp across various devices.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, WhatsApp parent company, made the announcement in a post on Tuesday stating, “starting today, you can log into the same WhatsApp account on four different phones”.

Before now, WhatsApp only allowed users to login on a mobile device per time.

The new feature will now afford users more access to their WhatsApp account on different devices, especially the ones run by multiple handlers.
