Stakeholders in the Niger State chapter of the All Progressives Congress have unanimously endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umaru Bago, for a second term ahead of the 2027 election.

Mr Bago’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, in a statement on Saturday, said the consensus decision was made during the party’s expanded state caucus meeting held at the Hauwa Wali Multipurpose Hall, Government House in Minna.

Mr Bologi said, “The Niger State APC Caucus has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for a second term in office. This was the consensus reached by all stakeholders of the party in the state during the expanded Niger State APC Caucus meeting held at the Hauwa Wali Multipurpose Hall, Government House Minna.”

He said the state’s APC Caucus leader at the National Assembly and senator representing Niger East, Muhammad Musa, moved the motion for the endorsement and was seconded by House of Representatives member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency, Saidu Abdul.

He said Mr Bago, in his remark, appreciated the stakeholders for the trust and confidence reposed in him and urged members to remain committed to the party’s growth instrumental in their emergence into various political positions.

Mr Bologi stated, “He called on every APC supporter in Niger State to play key roles in promoting the party and continue to canvass support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also used the occasion to reaffirm his total support to all the candidates of the APC in the forthcoming local government elections, adding that rigorous campaigns will be held.’’

Acknowledging the giant strides by the president and the governor, which they described as unprecedented, the party’s stakeholders in the state, urged Nigerians to give them the chance to continue with their good works.

The stakeholders at the meeting, while urging party members to remain united and work for the common good of the people, reassured Mr Bago of their continued support for his policies and programmes.
