The Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Niger, Abubakar Usman, on Wednesday, said that the government will provide strong leadership needed for rapid development in the state.

Mr Usman stated this in Minna, when he received members of the executive council of the All Progressive Congress (APC), from Chanchaga Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

He said that Gov. Umaru Bago-led government would put all the necessary measures in place needed to set the state on the path of sustainable development.

He called on the party executives, other members and stakeholders to demonstrate unflinching loyalty and respect for the supremacy of the party.

This, according to him, will ensure unity of purpose for the development of the state.

Earlier, Yusuf Mohammed, chairman of the party in Chanchaga LGA, who led the delegation, explained that the visit was to rejoice with Usman on his appointment as the SSG.

Mr Mohammed described Mr Usman’s appointment as “critical” to the state’s quest for rapid development with a view to improving the standard of living of the people.
