Nollywood was again thrown into mourning following the demise of veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor.

The actor lost the battle to kidney failure at 62.

Following the passing away of his colleague, John Okafor, popularly called Mr Ibu, Muonagor’s death came months after the actor was soliciting for funds online after suffering from a stroke.

The news of this demise was posted by a social commentator, Morris Monye, via his X handle, on Sunday.

“Deeply heartbroken by the news of Amaechi Muonagor’s passing. He was a talented Nollywood actor whose presence on our screens was truly masterful,” he said.

He also added that “This tragic loss highlights the need for better healthcare in our country.”

The late actor warmed the hearts of viewers with his movies starring the likes of Aki and Paw paw and the late Mr Ibu.
