Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has strongly criticised Reno Omokri regarding his involvement in the fundraising campaign for veteran Nigerian comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu.

The Peoples Gazette reported that Mr Ibu made a public plea for assistance as he faces an undisclosed illness that could potentially result in the loss of his legs, sparking widespread reactions.

In response to the viral video, Mr Omokri, through his social media platform, urged Peter Obi to cover the medical expenses of the ailing actor.

He pointed out that Ibu had previously endorsed and campaigned for Mr Obi as his preferred candidate during the 2023 general elections, making it a moral obligation for the LP flagbearer to support the actor in his time of need.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, the thespian strongly criticised Mr Omokri for his involvement in the matter.

He emphasised that the act of giving is a personal matter and should not be used as a means to pass judgement on others.

In a video posted via his Instagram handle on Thursday, Kanayo expressed his strong disapproval of Mr Omokri’s actions, characterised him as heartless.
