NPFL: Rangers International in Lagos to win, coach says

Rangers will on Sunday take on MFM FC at the Agege Stadium in Lagos in a Match Day 26 fixture.

Mbwas Mangut, the Chief Coach of Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, says their team are in Lagos to pick the maximum points against hosts MFM FC.

Norbert Okolie, the club’s Media Officer, in a statement on Saturday quoted the coach as saying this would help consolidate their current position in the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

“We need a win in Lagos to keep the pressure on the league leaders, the duo of Rivers United and Plateau United,” Mangut said.

Rangers International will on Sunday take on MFM FC at the Agege Stadium in Lagos in a Match Day 26 fixture.

“The match will be a tough one as we will be playing against a team that is currently bruised. MFM FC will come out with all in their arsenal to fight for survival.

“But we have our work cut out, which is to fight for the three points at stake and consolidate our position.

“We are well prepared for the task ahead as the players are determined to up their game in Lagos.

“I am optimistic of a good match with a good result, because we are determined to do our supporters proud anywhere we go,” Mangut said.

Rangers International are presently in third place in the league with 41 points from 25 matches, while MFM FC occupy the bottom spot with 23 points from 25 matches.
