NSCDC, customs pledge continued cooperation to enhance security in Katsina

The Katsina command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have promised to continue to work together to promote security in the state.

On a visit to the former, the coordinator of the Customs Joint Border Patrol team, Sector 4, North-West Zone, Aminu Abubakar, and the commandant of the NSCDC, Jamilu Indabawa, provided the assurance.

Mr Imdabawa, in his remarks, said during the recent border closure, his personnel performed wonderfully along with other security agencies at various border posts in the state.

He further reiterated the command’s commitment to cementing the already existing cordial relationship with the NCS and other security agencies in the state.

According to him, the aim was to promote security for the good people of Katsina state and Nigeria as a whole.

Earlier, the coordinator of the joint border patrol team expressed appreciation to Indabawa and his management team for their diligence and commitment.

The comptroller pointed out that it was necessary for him to get acquainted with all the security agencies in the state, saying, ”Because we are all working for the same purpose.”

He further emphasised the relevance of inter-agency cooperation and collaboration to promote safety and security in the state and Nigeria in general.
