Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has solicited party members’ votes ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election on April 20.

Mr Aiyedatiwa seeks to become the APC candidate out of the 16 aspirants in the November 16 governorship election.

On Saturday, the governor visited the palace of Osemawe of Ondo, Victor Kiladejo, to thank the traditional ruler for his support so far.

At the meeting venue with party members in Ondo town, Mr Aiyedatiwa emphasised that their support is crucial and should be translated into votes at the primary to ensure his victory.

In Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Mr Aiyedatiwa urged the people to vote for him.

He expressed satisfaction with the creation of the Okeigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and stressed that it has come to stay.

The Osemawe of Ondo appreciated Mr Aiyedatiwa’s support for the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, especially the recent announcement of N1 billion for the construction of the institution’s senate building.

Also speaking, Abiola Makinde, a House of Representative member representing Ondo East and Ondo West, said the state was already “lucky” and set for the election of Aiyedatiwa to emerge as the party’s standard bearer.
