Pakistan condemns in the “strongest terms” the terrorist attack at a Mosque by gunmen in west Afghanistan’s Herat province, resulting in loss of lives and injuries, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families in this hour of grief,” the ministry said in a statement.

“The people and government of Pakistan extend their heartfelt condolences to the people of Afghanistan,” it added.

Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including despicable attacks on places of worship, according to the ministry.

Six people were shot dead, and another was injured when a shooter opened fire on worshipers offering evening prayers at a Mosque in west Afghanistan’s Herat province.
