PDP constitutes Osun caretaker committee

The committee would manage the party’s affairs for a period not exceeding 90 days or till the election of a new state executive.

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has approved the composition of a Caretaker Committee to run affairs of the party in Osun.

Its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, stated in Abuja on Saturday that the decision followed the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee.

He added that the committee would manage the affairs of the party from April 8, for a period not exceeding 90 days or till the time that a new State Executive Committee would be elected.

The committee has Adekunle Akindele as chairman and Femi Carena as Secretary.

Members are Niyi Owolade, Ayo Awolowo, B.T. Salami, Adetoye Ogunboyega and Razaq Oyelani.
