PDP wants APC, Dapo Abiodun investigated over alleged BVAS bypass, military impersonation

However, we are deeply concerned by the sensitivity and importance of the threats against the fairness of the governorship election raised by the pressure group.

The attention of the Ogun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been drawn to a rebuttal issued by a section of the public transport unions in an attempt to debunk a security allegation against them by a pressure group, Egba Patriotic Front.

Of course, it is not in our character to join issues with tendencies that have been consistently reduced to a mere tool of violence and brigandage by the ruling APC government in Ogun state. We, however, owe it a point of patriotic duty to inform members of the public, once again that PDP is a responsible political organization that does not trade in rumours, propaganda and /or empty fantasies.

We are a fact-based organization and as such, we do not have any link or working understanding with a body called Egba Patriotic Front nor its convener. Before now, the PDP has been virile and unapologetic voice of opposition to the maladministration of the ruling APC government, not only in ogun state but Nigeria in general. We do not need to operate in the shadow of any pressure group or proxies.

It therefore becomes laughable that instead of  the characters mentioned in the communication by the EPF to go all out to clear their names, they have resulted into dragging us to their misfortune.

However, we are deeply concerned by the sensitivity and importance of the threats against the fairness of the governorship election raised by the pressure group.

It is a matter that should not be addressed by press release of the governor’s ruffians who do not understand the implication of allegations of bypassing the INEC’s BVAS and impersonation of the Nigerian Military.

We are deeply concerned that the Nigeria Police, Department of State Security Service and the Military are yet to invite the individuals identified by the pressure group for questioning, including the alleged hackers from India at the state government-owned Tech Hub.

We are therefore using this medium to call on all concerned agencies to do the needful as we would not accept a rigged election either perpetrated by hackers or hooligans sponsored by state actors.
