Police arrest suspect in connection to murder of American rapper Tupac Shakur
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department in the United States, on Friday, arrested one person in connection to the 1996 murder of American rapper, Tupac Shakur.
According to CNN, a suspect identified as Duane Keith Davis, aka “Keffe D” was arrested by police in Las Vegas, the same city Tupac was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on the night of September 7, 1996.
In July, Davis’ home in Henderson was searched by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, as part of the ongoing investigation into the high-profile case, which is yet to be solved after 27 years.
Electronics and other items including USB, hard drives, photographs and “purported marijuana,” along with a copy of the book “Compton Street Legends” by Keffe D with Yusuf Jah, were taken by the police during the execution of the arrest warrant.
Also, a copy of the memoir Davis authored detailing street gang life and the murder of Shakur was also seized from the home of Davis, who is a self-confessed witness to the shooting.
Las Vegas police officials are expected to hold a press conference later Friday, a source told CNN.
