Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested some gang members notorious for attacking and robbing warehouses, churches and event centres.

The command’s public relations officer, Bright Edafe, disclosed this on his official X handle on Friday.

Mr Edafe said, “We have arrested some suspects who specialise in robbing warehouses, churches and event centres.”

The police spokesperson said the suspects “were also part of the gang that robbed the Western Delta University in Oghara on 20th June 2024.”

He said, “They robbed a warehouse and stole one hundred and twelve bags of rice; we also recovered big air conditioners, speakers, mixers, and other equipment from them.”

Mr Edafe, however, did not state how many suspects were arrested.
