Police rescue two suspected ‘one chance’ robbers from mob in Abuja

Operatives of the FCT Police Command rescued two people mobbed by residents of Chicken House Junction, Wuse 2, Abuja, on Friday.
A viral video showed a resident using a cane to whip the suspects over alleged involvement in “one chance” activity. Both victims were later left in the pool of their blood while other residents and passers-by gathered.
Spokesperson for the command, Josephine Adeh, in a statement, said operatives arrived at the scene and admitted both victims to a hospital for medical attention, but no arrest has been made.
Mrs Adeh said, “Following a distress call received from an unidentified caller in the early hours of today, 12th September 2025, about two persons were seen lying in a pool of blood at Wuse 2, along Chicken House Junction.
“The police operatives, on getting to the scene, promptly rescued and rushed the victims who were still alive to the National Hospital for medical treatment. Members of the public who had gathered at the scene dispersed on sighting the police, as no suspects were arrested.”
Commissioner of Police Ajao Adewale has, however, directed the divisional police officer of Wuse Division to conduct an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Advising residents to go about their lawful businesses, the police commissioner assured that further details would be communicated in due course.
