Police Service Commission approves 20 medical screening centres for recruits

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved 20 centres for the two-week medical screening of intending recruits in the ongoing exercise.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved 20 centres for the two-week medical screening of intending recruits in the ongoing exercise.

The commission’s spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, stated on Thursday in Abuja that those eligible for medical screening succeeded at the just-concluded computer-based tests (CBT) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.

He stated that the candidates had been contacted about the dates and times for their screening. He explained that the medical screening was designed to determine applicants’ health statuses and suitability for recruitment.

Mr Ani listed the centres as the Police Cottage Hospital, Bompai, Kano; Police College Ikeja; Police Clinic, Yola; Police Clinic, Makurdi; Police Cottage Hospital, Benin; Police Hospital, Calabar and MD Abubakar Police Hospital, Dei-Dei, Abuja.

Others are the Police Clinic, Lokoja, the Police Hospital, Umuahia, the PTS Clinic, Sokoto, the Police Hospital, Osogbo, the PTS Clinic, Bauchi, the Police Hospital, Awka, the Ibrahim Coomassie Cottage Hospital, Katsina, and the Police College, Maiduguri.

There are also Zone 16 Headquarters, Yenagoa; Police Hospital Akure; Ultramodern Police Hospital, Gashua Road, Damaturu; Police College Clinic, Kaduna; and Police Secondary School Clinic, Zaria Road, Gusau.

He added that successful applicants would be directed to designated police colleges for mandatory training after the medical screening.
