On Tuesday, the Lagos State Police Command arrested street singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, over an unpaid debt of N14 million, the balance for a G-Wagon purchase.

The state police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest, saying the “Zazu” crooner purchased the vehicle valued at N27 million but only paid N13 million.

“Yes, Portable has been arrested,” said Mr Hundeyin. “He bought G-Wagon for N27 million, paid N13 million and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad.”

Mr Hundeyin added that police arrested Portable on Tuesday in Lagos.

The singer’s arrest has sparked a flurry of reactions on Instagram, with fans and followers sharing their opinions on the situation.

“This is payback for insulting Zinoleesky,” an Instagram user, @Nikkio660, commented wrote.

Another user, @_peaceful_baddie noted, “This guy and trending without dropping hit songs five and six.”

Meanwhile, @visualpro.wrld suggested opening a GoFundMe to sort out the N14 million debt for Portable.

“Make we open GoFundMe for Portable, Instagram go boring if Portable go prison ooh,” the user wrote in Pidgin.
