The Commandant, Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management, Brig.-Gen. Wisdom Etuk, has charged the college’s newly-decorated senior officers to continue to exhibit loyalty and integrity as the core values of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Mr Etuk gave the charge in Lagos during the decoration of the eight senior officers who benefited from the establishment’s 2023 promotion.

This is contained in a statement by the college’s Public Relations Officer, Maj. George Okupe, on Thursday.

The commandant warned the officers against compromising the core value of the armed forces and urged them to redouble their efforts to justify the confidence the army reposed in them through the promotion.

He reminded them of the enormous tasks that usually comes with elevation to a new rank in the army and implored them to re-evaluate their social values in terms of having integrity, loyalty and empathy.

Mr Erik also urged them to remain committed to the service and take good care of their families while soliciting continuous support from the families of the beneficiaries.

According to him, to whom much is given, much is expected and the promotion should be the reason for them to put more effort into their services to the system.

He further expressed appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen, Taoreed Lagbaja, for his relentless support to the college and for finding the officers worthy of promotion.

Highlights of the event were the presentation and investiture of the beneficiaries, words of advice from directors and chief instructors.
