Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, has beaten fellow superstar singers Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid to win the ‘Best Afrobeats’ award at the MTV VMA 2023.

Rema won the category with his chart-topping collaborative track ‘Calm Down’ featuring American pop star Selena Gomez.
