First lady Remi Tinubu has said President Bola Tinubu’s re-election for another four-year tenure in 2027 is “assured.”

Mr Tinubu, who assumed office in May 2023, will be seeking re-election for another four years in 2027 to complete eight years as president.

Posting on Facebook a photo of Mr Tinubu waving to a crowd in Kaduna during his visit on Friday, Mrs Tinubu said that her husband’s re-election was assured.

“Thank you Kaduna, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu loves y’all. 4+4 is assured,” Mrs Tinubu wrote.

The first lady’s Facebook post generated reactions with some supporting her positions while others disagreed with her.

A Facebook user, Nasara Dogara, said “Seconded by my humble self from Lafia … Asiwaju Tinubu 4+4=8,” Joshua Tsehemba said “I will still vote for him (Mr Tinubu). Nah my voter’s card.”

Another Facebook user, Mieabiye David George, asked “4+4 how? I think say you be Pastor and Bible talk say no think about tomorrow, allow tomorrow take care of itself. You don leave today, dey talk about 2027.”

Also, Facebook user, Ibrahim Itopa Abdulrahaman said “4 + 4 never assured anything ooo, tell baba say excessive hunger de for the land wai him de govern.”
