Daniel Amos (PDP-Jema’a/Sanga) has condemned the alleged killing of a resident, Musa Shock, in an unprovoked attack at Ungwuan Kaninkon, Mile 1 of Kaninkon Chiefdom in Jema’a LGA, Kaduna.

Mr Amos made the condemnation in a press statement issued on Monday.

He described the incident as “sad and condemnable”, saying that the community’s peace was shattered by the attack, which claimed the life of the hard-working youth on Sunday evening.

Amos extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the U/Kaninkon community, the Tum Nikyob, and the entire Jema’a LGA, while urging the residents to remain calm and law-abiding.

The lawmaker cautioned against retaliation, warning that it would only worsen the cycle of violence.

Mr Amos also called on the security agencies to investigate the killing and ensure that those behind it were brought to justice.

“Jema’a and Sanga deserve peace, and those who choose the path of violence must face the full weight of the law.

“Let us remain united, vigilant, and committed to the values of peace and brotherhood, confident that justice will be done and peace will prevail,” he said.
