The Confederation of All Progressives Congress Support Groups has called on President Bola Tinubu to revive moribund factories, industries and companies to grow the economy.

Its Director-General, Prof. Kailani Muhammed, gave the advice on Saturday in Abuja when an Igbo cultural group, Nsuka Nd’Imo Organisation, conferred on him the chieftaincy title of “Idudu Ndu.” meaning the ‘breath of life.’

The Igbo cultural group, led by Dr Ochendo Ogidi, honoured the APC group boss and Prof. Muhammad Adelaja.

Mr Muhammed, who advocated economic prosperity and physical uplift in the country, said the two indicators were imperative to the growth and development of the nation’s economy.

“We want economic prosperity and physical uplift in the country. All moribund factories, industries and companies must be revived and brought back. All our companies should start working. It is not the injection of dollars into liquidity that will now bring succour. Agriculture must also be brought back in earnest. We are going to give our President a blueprint for him to succeed because many of our members are professionals, engineers, seasoned administrators,” he said.

The director-general, who said he was excited over the chieftaincy title conferred on him, said the honour would motivate him to continue to do the right thing to move the country forward.

He said, “I feel like touching the sky today because we have been recognised by our Igbo brothers and sisters from the South-East. This means that anything you are doing, people are watching you. We are going to continue to do the right thing to move Nigeria forward. We will continue to do things that will make Nigeria a great place.’’

Mr Ogidi said that his organisation honoured Muhammed and Adelaja because it benefited from their combined efforts toward elevating education and good governance in Nigeria and abroad.

“The efforts of Adelaja also reflect in political mobilisation to help Nigeria achieve good governance. His pet project, ‘National Liberation Patriot’, is tailored towards national mobilisation. To liberate Nigeria from wrong leadership and institute incorruptible leadership, we identify with this vision. The efforts of the Prof. Kailani Muhammed-led APC support groups have ensured the realisation of the dreams of President Bola Tinubu as President,” he said.

The traditional ruler, who said that Mr Muhammed’s efforts had deepened Nigeria’s democracy, adding that posterity would never forget the record.
