Riot breaks out in Sagamu over naira scarcity

The angry youth made bonfires on the road, tearing up Bola Tinubu’s and other APC candidates’ posters to ignite the fire.

A riot erupted on Monday on Sagamu road in Ogun due to the scarcity of the new naira notes. 

Ogun youths besieged Akarigbo-Sabo road in Sagamu on Monday over their inability to withdraw the new naira notes from banks. 

Videos online showed banks within the area closed for fear of being attacked by the protesters. 

The angry youth made bonfires on the road, tearing up Bola Tinubu’s and other APC candidates’ posters to ignite the fire.
