Rivers governor appoints chief press secretary

Mr Nelson Chukwudi’s appointment as the governor’s chief Press secretary was with immediate effect.

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday approved the appointment of Mr Nelson Chukwudi as his Chief Press Secretary.

A statement by Mr Boniface Onyedi, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the governor, said that Mr Chukwudi’s appointment was with immediate effect.

It said that the new media aide was, until his appointment, the Acting Supervisory Editor/Chairman, Editorial Board of the state-owned newspaper, the Tide.

He formerly served as its acting editor and group news editor.
