Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been convicted of transporting people for prostitution but acquitted of sex trafficking charges.

The jurist on Wednesday cleared Diddy of sex trafficking allegations by his ex-partner Casandra Ventura and another woman referred to as “Jane.”

The music mogul has been on trial for months and would be sentenced for the offenses he was found guilty of.

Diddy, 55, could be sentenced to 20 years in prison for the offences he was convicted of. If he was convicted on sexual trafficking charges, he would have been sentenced to life in prison.

His lawyers asked that he be released pending his sentencing, but the prosecutor opposed the idea. After today’s court proceedings, Diddy faced the courtroom gallery clapping, while his family members and friends present at the court applauded.
