Manchester United returned to the top four on the Premier League table following a dramatic 3-2 win over Fulham at Old Trafford as the Red Devils continue their impressive start under interim head coach Michael Carrick.

With the result, Carrick, a former Manchester United player, made it three wins from three matches in his second stint as interim manager, beating Manchester City, Arsenal, and now Fulham in the process.

Casemiro opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 19th minute through an easy header as the Brazil international nodded home a free kick from Bruno Fernandes.

The kick was initially awarded as a penalty before VAR deemed the foul on Matheus Cunha to have occurred outside the 18-yard box.

Cunha doubled the lead for United in the 56th minute when he fired a pass from Casemiro into the roof of the net from close range.

The dramatic end began in the 85th minute as Raul Jimenez reduced the deficit for Fulham from the penalty spot after Harry Maguire was deemed to have brought the forward while attempting to score.

Substitute Kevin equalised for Fulham in the first minute of the nine minutes of added time as he curled the ball from the edge of the box into the top right corner of the net to send the away end into wild jubilation.

However, the parity only lasted two minutes before unmarked Benjamin Sesko calmly slotted home a last-minute pass from Fernandes to secure an important three points for United in their bid for Champions League football next season.
