Shettima leaves polling unit; no INEC officials, materials available

Mr Shettima arrived at the polling unit around 10:00 a.m. and met many other voters waiting for the arrival of election materials and officials.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, arrived at his Shettimari polling unit 001 in the Lawan Bukar ward of the Maiduguri metropolis but could not vote due to the absence of election officials.

Mr Shettima arrived at the polling unit around 10:00 a.m. and met many other voters waiting for the arrival of election materials and officials.

The senator, accompanied by Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno, waited about 10 minutes before leaving.

Meanwhile, voting has begun in many polling units in the metropolis.

Voting has commenced in many polling units monitored by Peoples Gazette across the country as Nigerians go to the polls to elect a new president.
