Spaniard jailed over threat to kill Prime Minister Sanchez

Spain’s National Court has sentenced a man, Manuel Murillo, to seven years in prison for threatening to kill Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
Mr Murillo, 66, was said to have posted messages on social media with words threatening Mr Sanchez.
Police raided the potential assassin’s home and seized seven prohibited firearms, including an automatic rifle.
The court ruled that Mr Murillo had decided that the solution to change the Spanish political situation was to cause the prime minister’s death.
The judges also said his seized weapon indicated danger.
