The Nigeria Youths For Atiku (NYFA), a former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar support group, says it believes in his transformative agenda for the nation.

In a statement on Sunday, the group’s spokesman, Dare Dada, urged Nigerians to embrace the Waziri of Adamawa and rally round Mr Abubakar for the 2027 presidency.

Mr Dada said the 2023 PDP Presidential candidate remained a detribalised Nigerian who strongly believed in the unity of Nigeria.

He said Mr Abubakar’s reign as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria would end the current economic hardship bedevilling the country.

He said the nation must rise above policy somersaults and wastages affecting prosperity. Mr Dada said that Abubakar had experience in both private and public life, which could be brought to the fore to run the country’s affairs effectively.

According to him, Abubakar believes so much in more devolution of powers to the states and local government, “as the current structure will not bring prosperity to Nigeria.”

“We have earlier called on the former Vice-President to run for the exalted office in 2027. The call is premised on the belief that he remains the only candidate who can wrestle power from APC-led government,” he said.
