The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in the appeals brought by the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress against the election victory of Abia State governor, Alex Otti of Abia State of the Labour Party.

The John Okoro-led five-man panel, after taking arguments from parties involved in the case, adjourned the case for judgments.

The state election petitions tribunal and the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos had dismissed the petitions by the PDP and its candidate, Okey Ahiwe, as well as the APC and its candidate, Ikechi Emenike.

Not satisfied with the verdicts of the lower courts, both parties appealed to the apex court to overrule their judgements and to nullify the governor’s election.
