SWAN orders Kebbi council to conduct elections before January
The national body of the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has directed its Kebbi council to conduct elections for its executive members before the end of 2022.
Dalladi Ibrahim-Baba, the electoral committee chairman in Kebbi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
“Election of executive members into various offices to run the affairs of SWAN Kebbi State Council must be conducted before January 2023,” the statement explained. “In this regard, the electoral committee wishes to notify all aspirants that each candidate is mandated to pay N1,000 only for the nomination form.”
It added, “In view of this, election is slated for Wednesday, December 28, at KACHEMA Conference Hall, Birnin Kebbi, by 3:00 p.m.”
