Teacher nabbed for sexually assaulting three-year-old pupil

The police on Monday arraigned a 48-year-old teacher, Tolulope Adeyemi, before the Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for sexual assault of her pupil.

The police on Monday arraigned a 48-year-old teacher, Tolulope Adeyemi, before the Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for sexual assault of her pupil.

The defendant is charged with sexual assault.

The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the offence was committed on September 22, 2023, at a private school in Mobil Road, Ajah, Lagos.

The prosecutor said the victim, a three-year-old girl, was assaulted by her teacher.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The chief magistrate, Bola Osunsanmi, admitted the defendant to bail of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Ms Osunsanmi adjourned the case until April 22 for legal advice from the director of public prosecution (DPP).
