Teenage pilot dies in Sydney plane crash

The young pilot was 16 years old.

A 16-year-old teenager died in a light plane crash in Sydney’s southwest at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, said the police in the Australian state of New South Wales.

The boy, yet to be identified, was the pilot and sole occupant of the plane, said the police.

The victim died at the scene, and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau has commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
