Musician Teni Apata, also known as Teni the Entertainer, in a video on her Instagram page, opened up on her battle with a life-threatening throat infection.

The “Case” crooner said she was diagnosed with throat disease in July after different sessions of voice loss. She explained that she had to juggle recording her second album and fighting the disease.

Teni revealed that doctors recommended major surgery, warning that failure to do so could result in permanent damage to her vocal cords.

The “Uyo Meyo” singer revealed she was hospitalised after different cases of exhaustion in September.

Sharing some of her moments in the hospital receiving treatment, she said, “Ahh, my eyes have seen.”

Teni revealed that her journey of gradual vocal recovery started in October, when she witnessed a mild voice recovery after seeking medical aid, even without opting for surgery.

In the video, she wrote that she would return to performing music in November.

The songwriter also announced that she completed her album, which is scheduled for release in November.
