Tinubu appoints Ajuri Ngelale new presidential spokesman

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ajuri Ngelale as his special adviser on media and publicity.

Willie Bassey, spokesperson for the Office of the Secretary General of the Federation, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

Mr Ngelale’s “appointment takes effect from 31st July 2023. The President urges him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the new assignment.”

Mr Ngelale, a former broadcaster with African Independent Television, served as special adviser on public affairs in former President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime.

“I am most humbled and honoured by H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recognition of the need for more hard work ahead as I have been appointed as his official spokesperson and special adviser to the president on media & Ppublicity,” Mr Ngelale said in a tweet on Monday. “I will give my best as always. I love you all.”
