Tinubu appoints Ogbara-Banjoko to commodity exchange board

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Arinola Ogbara-Banjoko as a non-executive director of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange.
She will represent Lagos on the board under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga announced the appointment in a statement on Thursday.
Ms Ogbara-Banjoko replaced Bamidele Hussein.
Mr Tinubu had earlier in April constituted the board of the exchange with Dalhatu Abubakar as chairman, alongside other non-executive directors.
The president urged the new appointee to bring her experience and professionalism to strengthen the exchange’s operations.
He said the appointment aligns with the federal government’s efforts to deepen commodity trading, improve market access for farmers and investors, and stimulate economic growth.
