Akeem Agbaje, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo, says Bola Tinubu as president will manage Nigeria’s resources better than other parties’ 2023 presidential candidates.

In an interview on Saturday in Abuja, Mr Agbaje, a governorship aspirant in the recently concluded APC primary in Oyo, said Mr Tinubu would properly manage Nigeria’s resources.

“What we need today is somebody who can manage our resources and be innovative. Tinubu is not telling you what he can. He has done it with great results and is still ready to do it better in more challenging situations.

“As governor of Lagos, the man faced a serious challenge when the state was not paid allocation for years. He made sure that the state not only survived but excelled significantly.”

Mr Agbaje said that the country needed a president that would efficiently tackle its challenges, a technocrat and experienced politician like the APC presidential candidate.

“Look at Tinubu at the presidential primary, people across the country stood for him, he has relationships with people across the country,” he said.

Commending President Muhammadu Buhari for creating a “level playing field” in the APC that enabled the emergence of Mr Tinubu, the politician said “Everybody knew that, within the APC, Tinubu had the highest potential to achieve that.”
