The Youth Democratic Vanguard has commended the Minister of Interior, Mr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his innovative and rapid reforms in his ministry and Nigeria’s internal security in general.

The group’s chairman, Muraina Alao, gave the commendation in a statement on Thursday.

According to the group, the minister’s ” ongoing reforms ” align with President Bola Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.

It commended the president for committing huge resources to the ministry to drive his administration’s renewed hope agenda.

“This can save people’s time and money, and it can also reduce the risk of corruption and bribery,” said the group.

It also said Mr Tunji-Ojo had cleared 204,332 passport backlogs and over 50,000 new ones within a short time.

“Also, the release of 4,068 inmates, comprising the convicts sentenced to various terms of imprisonment with options of fine and compensation in custodial status nationwide, among others, were also part of his achievements,” noted the group.

According to the statement, the success recorded by the minister is a reflection of the president’s leadership style and the effectiveness of his administration.
