Social media platform Twitter is currently experiencing downtime worldwide.

Multiple checks by Peoples Gazette revealed that the platform had logged users out of the service, and was failing to load tweets and timelines.

Down Detector, an online outage tracking service reported 24,431 problem reports globally. The services went down at about 7:30 p.m. Nigerian time on Tuesday, with multiple complaints from users about not being able to access their tweets and direct messages.

Twitter experienced an outage of about an hour in July. It had similar problems in February, after another hour-long outage the company ascribed to a “technical bug” that was preventing timelines from loading and tweets from posting.

At this time, Twitter has not issued a statement explaining the cause of the global outage.
