Two brothers arrested for vandalising transformer cables in Lagos

Members of a vigilance group in Onitiri Avenue, Abule Egba, Lagos, have arrested two brothers for allegedly vandalising transformer cables in the area.

The state police command disclosed this on its official X handle on Tuesday.

“Two brothers, Igwe Kingsley ‘m’ and Igwe Chinedu ‘m’, were arrested by vigilant residents of Onitiri Avenue, Abule Egba, while they were vandalising transformer cables in the area,” the police said.

It said the suspects “were thereafter handed over to police officers of Oko-Oba Division together with the exhibits.”

The police added that an investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
